Despite the weather, we had a successful drill including familiarity with neighborhood caches (available supplies), communication plans with handheld radios and HAM Radio Operators, and a debrief with city employees.
Become a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) member and learn basic response skills such as light search and rescue, medical operations and fire suppression. Learn more and find class schedules at the Everett CERT page. You would be surprised how many of your neighbors are CERT members!
Map Your Neighborhood
Conduct a Map Your Neighborhood session in your area. Prepare for a disaster with your neighbors by identifying capabilities, skills and vulnerabilities so you can effectively and collectively respond.
